He has served as a cornerstone of higher education mathematics, holding pivotal roles such as Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Naugatuck Valley Community College and Coordinator of Developmental Mathematics at the University of Texas Permian Basin. Today, as the founder and lead strategist of this service, Mr. Nichols stands as an educational luminary with a quarter-century of impact. His expertise spans a vast spectrum, from pioneering Open Educational Resources (OER) to improve college accessibility to spearheading the PUMP (Placement at UTPB Mathematics Project), ensuring students are positioned for victory from day one.
